Family and friends are part of daily life at Minneola Place, and we love having you here. A few simple rules keep visits safe and comfortable for every resident. This policy follows Florida law (F.S. 408.823), and it applies to everyone who comes through our doors.

Visiting hours

Normal visiting hours are 8:00 AM through 8:00 PM, seven days a week. Need to visit outside those hours? Just ask — visits at other times can be arranged with the Administrator's approval.

Signing in & health screening

All visitors sign in at our designated entry point when they arrive. To protect our residents, we also do a quick health screening: a temperature check and a few questions about symptoms like respiratory illness, rash, or digestive trouble.

If your temperature reads 100.4°F or higher, or you're feeling under the weather, we'll ask you to reschedule. Our residents will be glad you did.

Group size & visit length

Visits are limited to 4 visitors per group and 2 hours per resident per group. This keeps our common spaces comfortable for everyone — if you're planning something bigger, like a family celebration, talk to us and we'll help you arrange it.

Designated essential caregiver

Each resident may formally designate one essential caregiver, who receives 2 additional hours of visitation dailybeyond normal limits. Ask the Administrator about setting this up — it's a simple form.

What not to bring

Firearms, explosives, fireworks, alcohol, and recreational or non-prescription drugs are not permitted on the premises. If a resident's physician has questions about medications or supplements you'd like to bring, check with our staff first.

House rules

We ask all visitors to maintain appropriate decorum and treat residents, staff, and other visitors with respect. This is our residents' home. Disruptive behavior may result in a visitor being asked to leave.

Special situations

Unless the resident objects, visits are always permitted in end-of-life situations, and in circumstances involving significant emotional distress or medical need — regardless of normal visiting hours. If your family is facing one of these moments, call us and we will make it work.
